We've heard there is no "I" in teamwork, yet how often do we think about whether that's true? I have come up with another version which at first glance appears contradictory: "There IS an EYE in Teamwork"
What do I mean?
Without a keen EYE for detail by someone on the team, none of the loose ends gets tied up and your project suffers.
Because of a sharp EYE on the various talents of the individuals, the team is able to maximize that expertise for the good of the group.
Having a specific EYE looking out for sections of the work, no one person should be saddled with all of the work.
Getting an EYE-full of the project as it progresses, ensures its timely completion.
Sharpening the EYE-sight of the team, enables the leader to effect timely changes, meet the goals and see the project to conclusion.
While there is certainly no "I" in teamwork- keeping an EYE on the team is the key to its success!
