Every patient has their own individual needs for plastic surgery. Reshaping the buttock to the region of one's body can be performed by a procedure called the buttock lift. On the other hand, some patients desire a fuller buttock shape which requires the use of implants. These implants are made of a material that can't rupture, deflate or spill. This procedure is referred to as buttock augmentation.
Buttock lifts have gained popularity in the United States as of late. There has been a 152% increase in these procedures between 2002 and 2004. In 2004 there were approximately 4000 buttock lift procedures performed.
