The Power Of Belief... There is an amazing power in believing you can achieve something. Studies show that all of the successful people in the world acheived their success with that one main ingredient called belief. When you have your mind set on something im sure you notice that the actions you take to achieve what you want are more intense than others. Children Are Like New Computers waiting for data... When a child is born they don't know what they are doing but their brains are ready to learn anything that it is taught. Children aren't really like computers but their brains are ready for the data that you give them. My younger sister was born with downsyndrome but my mother always treated her like she was a normal child. This is what happened to her... As my sister got older she never looked at herself as disabled and I swear if you met her you would think she was normal. She does everything so advanced that the only way you can tell she has downsyndrome is when she talks and she is working on her speech everyday. This is the power of belief... If my sister didn't believe she was like everyone else, she wouldn't be as advanced as she is. Now think of the strenght you are giving your child when they believe that they can achieve anything! Remember that they are like sponges and they will absorb what you feed them. The Difference between Imagination and Reality... When I was young I use to say that I wanted to be a Doctor and a Fireman but as you can see today I am neither. I am still doing what I love to do but I figured out what that was later on in life when I was about 16 years old. If I would've had a goal setting mind back when I wanted to be a Doctor or Fireman, I probably would've been one. I look back now and I see the difference between my imagination and my reality now but I also see that I could've and still can achieve those earlier goals but it would take sometime now. The beauty of it all... The great thing is that I know that if I put my mind to something and put a plan behind it, I can achieve anything. Now a child that is just learning how to read is in their imagination and learning stage. Think of how amazing it would be if your child set a goal when they were still under 10 years old and they had an idea of how they were going to achieve it. They could be the next big thing and still be young. When I am blessed with the gift of having a child I will help them help themselves by being there with them and teaching them that what they imagine can be a reality if they put those wheels in motion. The greatest gift you can give to anyone is the gift of believing they can do something they want to do and having faith in themselves.
